Trick or Treat Ghost Cat

This cat was a problem child for me! I first created the cat Halloween 2021. He was supposed to be part of another piece I was working on. However, the position this cat was in wasn’t going to work. This cat’s balance was off so he couldn’t stand well and kept falling over. When Halloween 2022 was coming I revisited the black cat. I decided to make him a trick or treater going as a ghost. The costume is the classic ghost costume, a sheet with holes cut out. My first attempt at fitting the “sheet” on the cat failed. I had a hard time getting the shape right to fit over it. After baking, I was going to fix the sheet with more clay. However, while trying to fix it the sheet started to break apart. Needless to say, I remade the sheet. With some patience, I was able to successfully fit the sheet on the cat. Not only that, but because of the way the sheet laid on the cat it balanced him out, so he didn’t fall over. Then I placed a jack-o-lantern in its paw for collecting treats on Halloween.
