I Told You I Was Sick Memorial Dragon

This piece is the largest and most time-consuming clay project I have done so far. My brother passed away from bone cancer in April 2021. Both of us loved dragons so creating a dragon to commemorate him and hold his ashes in a little urn was appropriate. The headstone’s title came from a headstone my brother made for his Halloween display that he did every year. Considering he was sick with cancer and he had made that headstone, it seemed very fitting for this piece. His ashes were not all fine so there were small pieces of bone. If you look closely you will see that I used some those pieces for the dragon’s teeth.
