Gentle Brut

As I continue working in soft pastels I am always looking for subject matter to draw. I chose to do a rotweiller as an example of the pet portraits that I do. When you look at the black areas of the dog you will see blues and white within the black do give the dog depth. I like to add bright colors to neutral ones. Here I have added oranges to the browns to make them bold and vibrant.
